Summer Look Book Pt 2. 90's

Hello my Fashionistas!
Firstly, I'd like to apologize for posting this extremely late but it's summer time and I'm very busy juggling work and sleep hahaha. Alright, on to the second look in my Summer Look Book.

Nothing's better than dressing up in past fashion trends to make a statement. Fashion trends from the 90's are totally awesome and are my favorite style to wear from the choker necklaces and plaid everything to doc martins and converse. I love all the iconic fashion trends from the 90's and they are my go-to for casual outfits: ripped jeans and hoodies, to stand-out outfits: bodycon mini dresses and platform heels.

I'm absolutely in love with 90's fashion; the plaid skirts, hoop earrings, choker necklaces, doc martins, button-down shirts, ripped jeans, and the fabulous exercise outfits all contribute to my love of fashion from this period in time.

This look I am sharing with you, my fellow fashionistas, is a typical 90's outfit that I threw together for a 90's party that I attended. My outfit is similar to one you might have seen on Cher, the main character in the 1995 movie "Clueless." The movie "Clueless" displays various iconic 90's fashion trends and it's a superb movie.

90's Fashion

Outfit #2 is very 90's grunge and I'm in love with grunge and very happy it's making a come back because the effortless fashion that is associated with 90's grunge is extremely fashionable, in my opinion.

The outfit I put together last minute, I have to admit, looks pretty darn good. The only thing was that I had left my sunglasses I wanted to wear at home so I borrowed a pair which I have to say didn't look too bad considering they looked like a pair of Aviators Maverick from the 1986 movie "Top Gun" would have worn.

My outfit consists of white doc martins size 6.5, that I scored at Value Village, a white and black plaid pleated skirt from American Apparel in medium, a white high necked tank from Bluenotes (haha Bluenotes has decent things sometimes don't judge), a jean moto stlye jacket also scored at Value Village, one tattoo choker from Brandy Melville, and a second choker I made with suede string and a paper crane charm.

I topped it off with some dark red lipstick from the era to complete the look.

I love this outfit and I have worn an outfit similar to this one to school. It is very comfortable and the jean jacket is perfect for cooler summer nights and you can always swap out the Doc Martins for some Converse which would be as equally 90's and the Doc's.

This last picture takes place the the 90's themed party I went to. The party was outside and it was very hot so I tied my jean jacket around my waist and I really like how is contributed to the overall look. This look is very versatile and very easy to make it you're own.

Hope you were inspired!

Summer Look Book Pt 1. Floral

This new post is going to be one part of a many part look book of summer outfits, all categorized based on the style of the outfit. I will be posting one outfit about every 2 weeks so keep coming back to check out the new outfit of the week! Hope you enjoy this first post of many to come.

During the summer I find it very difficult to find something fashionable to wear that you won't die of heat stroke in. My go-to's are the obvious: dresses, rompers, skirts & shorts and tanks.

I hope these pictures give you some inspiration for everyday wear or a fancy night out.

 1. Floral

Summer fashion is all about the exciting colors and exotic patterns, like floral. Floral is a very versatile pattern in my opinion and you can either dress it up or dress it down.

I am absolutely in love with this adorable romper with dainty sunflowers all over it that I purchased at Forever 21. Usually, I find many rompers don't really fit on my frame so I was very surprised when this one looked gorgeous instead of like a little kid's pajamas.

The multi-colored wedges that I am wearing I found at a consignment store! They are so cute and I love how different they look from any other wedges I've seen. Goes to show you sometimes there is more unique clothing, accessories and shoes at used clothing stores.
With an outfit like this to make it a bit more casual swap the wedges for a comfy pair of sneakers or sandals.

The cardigan I'm am wearing is one of the very few pieces of Aeropostale clothing I have left from the early days of high school (haha). It's a very neutral color and goes with many outfits I've worn.

And lastly the most important thing for the summer is... Sunglasses!
I found this great pair at American Eagle and the best part, they were on sale!
