3 Ways to Find Something to Wear

Hi my Fashionistas!
Sorry about taking an extremely long time to post this but I have been very busy studying for exams.
I hope you enjoy this post!
...
Most of the time I get overwhelmed looking in my closet and I can never, for the life of me, figure out what to wear; I usually end up settling on my favorite pair of converse, black leggings and a sweater or plain colored shirt. Although this outfit may be comfy, it's not necessarily the stylish outfit that I was wanting to wear for the day.
Here's a list of some things I do to get myself out of the "I have nothing to wear" rut.

1. Pinterest

Searching on Pinterest always gives me the greatest inspiration. Usually what I do is pick out one piece of clothing that I definitely want to wear, for example white Doc Martens. I go to the search bar and type in "White Doc Marten outfits" and scroll through til I find a picture that I like and can recreate with clothes I already have in my very own closet.

This picture above was my inspiration for the outfit below. I have a super cute pair of striped white and blue overall shorts that I found on my last trip to Value Village that I wanted to wear, but it was slightly too cold to wear a tank top or t-shirt so I decided on wearing a thin black and white sweater that I found at Winners and paired it with my go-to white converse, just like in the picture.

This outfit turned out to be very playful, cute and surprisingly comfy; I felt like I was five again.

2.Instagram

I love stripes and in my opinion they are a perfect pattern for spring and summer. Stripes are one of Glamour magazines, "Spring 2016's Most Wear Able Fashion Trends" and I have been seeing stripes all over Instagram. Which have given me great inspiration for outfits.

I was particularly inspired by a picture @chanelofficial posted on Instagram of Blake Lively, at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, wearing a fabulous outfit that screams spring with the orange-red cover up with 3D flora detailing on the cuffs and hem. Blake Lively's striped dress inspired me to create an outfit incorporating stripes.

I decided to wear a slightly more comfortable outfit with the these new Naked Lululemon Align crop leggings I recently purchased, a periwinkle blue and white striped top with a scooped hem from good ol' Winners and black heels with cut-outs on the sides and gold buckles, also from Winners.

I finished off the look with some jewelry; a long 3 tier necklace, from Bootlegger, and a dainty bracelet. Personally I think the necklace and boots really pulled the whole look together.
Searching through Instagram is a great resource for brainstorming stylish outfits.

3.Google

Google, I would have to say, is by far the easiest way to search for photo inspiration, all you have to do is type in the trend you are looking for, click 'Images' and Ta Da! you have tons of pictures to choose from.

Here are two pictures I found for outfit inspiration. (Above and below pictures)

For this outfit I searched 'denim on denim' because I was feeling slightly rebellious and wanted to try this trend. And surprisingly I pulled it off!

In this outfit I am wearing: a denim moto style jacket from Value Village, a gold necklace with little pink rocks on it from Forever 21, a black crocheted crop top from Garage, American Apparel high-waisted jeans, grey Converse and a slightly oversized pair of sunglasses to top it off (it's almost summer you know!).

I hope these three resources help you find some fabulous outfits :)
